China to Cut Mobile Charges
by Peter Suciu on May 11, 2007

china_flag.jpgTeleCom Asia is reporting that China’s Ministry of Information Industry (MII) has said on its official Web site that China should implement one-way charging in an all-round way, while cutting down general charges for telecom services. MII will also reduce the domestic roaming charges by lowering the ceiling price, which has yet to be defined. The ministry is further urging telcom operators to simply the complicated service kits.

This is the first official confirmation by the Chinese government that one-way charges will be implemented nationwide.
