aolmobile.jpgSeveral search engines on the Web offer, or soon will offer, customized Web pages with widgets to tell you the time and weather, and pull up the latest headlines. AOL Mobile is giving personalized treatment to user homepages in an effort to increase its stickiness on handsets everywhere. Users can select preferences for the page to include hyperlinks, include images, optimize linked pages, include numbers, and set the maximum characters per page. Not exactly a widget, but it lets you set the page the way it works best for you and your phone.

  • You’re ahead of the curve. Has this product even been released yet!? I think the coolest thing about it is that instead of simply being able to set your preferences for content, you can also improve the richness of that content based on your mobile platform. Neato!
