capcommobile.jpgTwenty years ago I was beset by two hardcore muggers. Just coming from the arcade, I had learned some new martial arts moves from Street Fighter. I Kunged one thug and Fued the other. Taking their wallets, I went back into the arcade for even more fist-foot furry. Now I’m older, wiser and soon I can play Street Fighter on my mobile handset.

Capcom’s classic, Street Fighter II, will be released for mobile phone gamers in time for the 20th anniversary of the series. Players will have to master combos and special moves if they want to win the world championship. Eight different fighters, Ryu, Ken, Chun Li, E Honda, Blanka, Zangief, Guile, and Dhalsim can be controlled by the player.

“Since the series debut 20 years ago, Street Fighter has defined the fighting genre, setting sales records as it makes its way to newer and newer platforms,” said Midori Yuasa, President, Capcom Interactive, Inc.
