Juniper Research: Mobile Web 2.0 to be worth 22.4 billion in 5 years.
by Greg Kumparak on May 14, 2008

The UK’s Juniper Research published a report this morning which predicts massive growth in Mobile Web 2.0 revenues. According to the report, they expect social networking, user generated content, mobile search and instant messaging to more than triple the Mobile Web’s current estimated worth of $5.5 billion up to $22.4 billion by 2013.

I will have to check the accuracy of this from my hover car come 2013. I just hope my shiny space pants don’t cost more than $22.4 billion dollars.

    Price of your pants will be absolutely increased. Please see the following deducing:

    Web 2.0 = User + Creation

    User is a human being and in order to create, he/she need something to eat, to wear, some place to stay, and some to move around, so we got the following formula :

    User+ Creation = Wearing + Eating + Living + Moving

    Practically expressed in real things,

    Web 2.0 = Pants + Rice + Condo + Gas

    Time “m” in the both sides of above formula :

    mWeb 2.0 =mPants +mRice + mCondo+ mGas

    =>
    Mobile Web 2.0 = my Pants + more expensive Rice + mom’s Condo + mad Gas

    Mobile Web 2.0 will increase, no doubt.
    mRice , yes , price of rice increased , recently proved
    mCondo , yes, house price increased. Do I need to stay with mother eventually.
    mGas, yes, gas price increased now and seem to go up forever. Mad, very mad.

    mWeb 2.0 =mPant +mRice + mCondo+ mGas
    =>
    my Pant= mWeb 2.0 - mRice – mCondo – mGas

    The conclusion:

    In the age of mobile Web 2.0, deducting the more and more expensive food and fuel and other living essentials, the only thing left for me will be a pair of Pants.

    So keep you pants, it may worth something in the era of Mobile Web 2.0.

    Have fun.
