The Treo 800w’s launch date of June 22 is getting closer, and the phone has once again been spotted in the wild. The Windows Mobile smartphone featuring the new Treo form factor is making Palm’s business users excited.
Treo users are known as being loyal, but the fact that Palm hasn’t update the device’s look — short of killing the antenna — in quite awhile has left them hungry, especially since the Centro line of tiny smartphones has been so successful.
The perfectly blurry spy shot shows the Sprint logo, which is in line with what we’ve heard about Sprint being the first to carry the handset. we havent’ gotten official word from our Palm rep yet of the date and badge, but it all seems likely.

I was at a special Palm promotion where they let us see the movie “Don’t Mess With Zohan” in exchange for waiting in line and talking to their friendly staff about the Treo. I own an iPhone, and when I look at the Treo… wow, I felt like I entered a time machine that took me back 10 years. It looks amazingly 1990’s. And despite having 10 things I hate about the iPhone (http://www.openxfer.com/wordpress/2008/06/06/ten-things-i-hate-about-iphones-2/), there would probably be 20 things I hate about the Treo.
Palm, thanks for the movie, but maybe you shoudl have spent a little more time on user testing and not on ineffective marketing.
