Same problem with me. I have the latest software available through Nokia PC software, which is for me: 200.21.118, my model is E71-1 (305.04), CODE: 0572762. I'm on T-Mobile, zone 2 in London. As it is, the phone is unusable for relialble making and receving calls and SMS. In terms of calls, it's by a mile the worse phone i ever had. What a paradox, considering it's the most capable one too, in terms of other functions. After 8th day, i had enough, i called buymobilephones.net who will send me a new one as soon as i return this one. If the problems persist i will insist on canceling the contract, since this phone can not be used to deliver the service that one buys with the contract.

My E71 has had excellent signal strength a number of times but without warning the signal disappears completely although I can still use the 3G internet service. Today I even stood by a 3 Mobile Mast, the signal disappered completely. Whilst I was still stood by the mast i tried turning the fone off and back on and even a hard reset but still no signal. The fone has also been crashing a lot. If it crashes on the rare occasion that I have signal then when it reboots there is no signal. I'm going to try a new simcard seeing as mine is 15 months old. If this doesnt help at all then it would seem a severe design fault when used on the 3 network or that there are dodgy batchs of E71's (this is my second handset with the same fault).

There is a problem. I am waiting to get it unlocked so can only speak of 3UK, but it is a bit crap at getting and maintaining signal
