Cricket is now offering Samsung’s new Messager, the bar-style handset with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, for easy texting and surfing. The Messager also features a 1.3-megapixel camera, MP3 player, multiple Bluetooth profiles and a MicroSD slot.
Scott Edwards, senior vice president of marketing for Cricket, said:
“Cricket customers want attractive devices that enhance their social lifestyles and we believe that the Samsung Messager strikes the right balance of features and functionality in a stylish device. Since the Samsung Messager allows users to quickly text message, swap photos, download applications, and listen to music, it should be a big hit with our customers.”
The Messager is available in navy blue and green immediately at Cricket retail stores and Cricket dealers for $200. And Cricket customers never have to sign a contract.

If you’re looking for even more messaging and fun in your phone, Cricket is releasing the Evolve by Motorola shortly…you can get on the waiting list now and know that your touch screen won’t cost thousands of dollars a year like some plans. Your bill won’t be a surprise and your phone is state of the art – how great is that?!
Uh oh. I was thinking about how the messenger phones have evolved over time and put in the wrong phone name…how embarrassing!!! It’s obviously the Evoke that’s coming out June of ‘09. Sorry for the mix-up!
