As with all software development, things come in iterations. To the author: has it ever occurred to you that maybe MySpace is planning to integrate Music JV into a future release of the Android/iPhone application?

I really don’t understand the negative criticism at all. Frankly, it’s typical of a Silicon Valley elitist sitting in front of their AirBook and sipping on their latte.

the only reason i ever go to myspace now is for the music. I dont understand why music wouldnt be included right away. The best way to connect online is now facebook. not myspace

Myspace is still first and foremost a social network, not a music download service. Saying that Myspace mobile for the g1 without music is useless is just plain stupid since the point of myspace is to network and connect with my friends and now I can do that from my phone (assuming I didn’t have an iphone).

What did Myspace bring to the table? They brought a mobile version of Myspace. Is it missing a couple features? Sure. And I’m positive they’re working on it.

I wouldn’t think I’d have to enlighten a writer of TC, but … you do realize that Myspace doesn’t have to bring shit to the table if they dont’ want to right? They’re Myspace.

That’s not to say development shouldn’t happen. But they’re on a slow launch cycle. And it seems to me that the users don’t mind, because while Facebook is launching a new “feature” a week that is bogging down the system and adding clutter to an already cluttered interface, Myspace is launching solid improvements over a much longer time period.

What a disappointment, really. When I first heard bout the G1, and was told it was super simple as an existing Tmo customer to switch, I was hoping it’d be able to support a Myspace Music feature, since that’s where most of my favorite bands put their new tunes, the next site being Purevolume. Hopefully it’s in the works and will be added soon?!
