"The IM client provided by Google already supports AIM, Google Talk, MSN, and Yahoo, so you’re really only getting Jabber, ICQ, and Myspace. Is that worth twenty-dollars? Meh."

Just as an added comment, this isn't true in Australia (and I think the UK?).

In those countries the Google client supports only GTalk, so any other client is a step up.

I'm imagine having all my contacts in one IM--- not that convinient for me. And $20 for a faulty app? I don't think so. App developers should do thorough testing of the app before they release it. Well, maybe they can make it public for people to try it out but not for purchase.

Sadly enough, its also the most unstable IM app that I've tried. I tried its demo on my Symbian S60 & Windows Mobile and it used to crash almost every 5-10 minutes into a chat!! And then I thought that it definitely isn't worth the $40 each it costs for Symbian & Windows Mobile & just installed Palringo on both of them which is better, has cleaner interface & is free!!
