@Raja – I’m glad I’m not the only one with the audio/video sync issues. Ms. DeMiroz made it sound like I was the only one having trouble watching Hulu on Skyfire!

There was a company called Pogo Mobile Solutions, that started as a hardware-based model then evolved to software-only (it was always based on compression/proxy algorithms).

I’ve been using Skyfire since Alpha2 (I think it was called) and have been amazed with not only how much they’ve managed to pack into it but how quickly it’s evolved.

It went from a standing start to leaving Opera Mini dead in the water. It gives me features comperable to Opera / Netfront / Torch on my WM phone without much lag (though doing everything through proxy does add some).

I’d like to see improved text/form handling ont he device (push more of the logic client-side and make things smarter and more responsive) and pre-emptive push of the adjacent parts of a page to make scrolling around smoother… but all-in-all it makes for a great browser experience (http://tinyurl.com/9ynxo7) … I hope they can scale as demand grows ;)

surely there’s opera mini out there, but they’ve been at it for years and are still no where close to what skyfire has done to deliver the “full web”.

For a browser that’s not even 1.0 yet, they’ve done a fabulous job.

Having been a recent user of skyfire to take advantage of Australia’s new found wealth when it comes to mobile data plans, I think there is a lot of room for improvement – particularly with browsing ease, bringing to it iPhone type functionality, and also I would agree there are significant video/audio sync issues even in the latest beta release.
