Seriously the Ocean is a great phone with even better service. Anyone who puts so much importance on how a cellphone looks(really people?)is most likely a wanna be loser anyway. This phone works, and it doesn’t have a “digital chastity belt” as the iPhone does. Oh yeah…it’sDef Leppard by the way.

I’m really looking forward to seeing more of the Ocean 2. I’ve been using the 1st Ocean the for the past year, and I’m incredible please on how its performed, most of the time. I’d really love to see some shots of the menus and any new features.
Man I am so glad I dumped Helio as the phone looks like the old Ocean and I had a lot of issues with that phone and you couldn’t update it at all which really sucked as they came out with Ocean’s with a fixed bios that solved a lot of issues so I would NEVER got back to them and the call quality is terrible!

This is A huge Letdown!!
I want to be able to text someone while talking on the phone or that the phone will put my surfing on the net in the background while I answer a phone call or a text message. I want full HTML email like the iphone Safari browser. I hate the fact that we still have to deal with text only email even when I use opera mini! What kind of crap is that?! I want to be able to put a microSD card in the capacity of 20GB or 40GB. Am I asking for too much? What about using MP3 ring tones? What’s up with MMF ring tones? That’s ridiculous, MP3’s sound better and are compatible with all MP3 players out there! oh yes, I forgot to mention, how about a multi-language keyboard? Like English, Spanish, Italian, German, French etc… I don’t know Korean language, why is there English and Korean only? Nokia phones have multi-language keyboards and so does Blackberry. I hope they fixed all these problems if not I will jump ship after my contract expires. I’ll probably upgrade anyway just to get a better phone until the contract is over! Do you Helions here me out there?!

The new Helio 2 allows for all MP3s to be set as ringtones, as well as seperate backgrounds for landscape and portrait modes.
Also, Helio phones offer only Korean and English because Helio is originally a Korean company, targeted at the Korean communities in America. They branched out into targeting Americans as a whole afterwards.

I have to say I’m disappointed, other than the “optical sensor” whatever, none of the new features seemed interesting.
And besides the obvious new color, and the menu display going from glorious color to muted dark tones, the Ocean 2 looks nearly the same as it’s parent.
Another feature that was a good choice, but still didn’t add much to my excitement, was multi-tab browsing.
I’ll be using that.
I’ll probably pick it up just for the slight improvements but it’s a pretty big let down.
The menu display color has two choices; the original multi-colored one (which is the one I prefer!!) and the new black and electric blue one. :)

Yeah, I’m gonna get it, too. I don’t care that much what it looks like. It would be an upgrade I’ve been holding on to since November. The Fin I have is good. I liked its magnesium body(its tough) because I work construction and it will get hit.
I like Helio. Seems like they had it all before anyone did, especially contact sync and total unlimited plans. Also, their device changer option. I have 2 Fins, one at home charging, the other gets beat up at work. I get in, click click, switch phones and go.
++ support, accessibilty, intuitively designed and good pricing

I thought that there were gonna be some improvements to the phone of course. But these are not improvements, this is the standard by which all phone companies have adhered to. The ocean has been out for like 3 years?! C’mon this is what we get….Booooo. Helio+Virgin couldn’t find a way give us something NEW and IMPROVED, just a little of both. It’s like having gallon of gas and no car or car and gas…with no steering wheel..

For those of you who think this is a let down. I talked to a helio rep today and they say that a certain Samsung may be releasing a new device in the fourth quarter of 2009. But that is all that I could get out of them. I hope it is touch screen.
