This may come as a surprise to someone as puritan and commercially altruistic as tech crunch, but people pay people to endorse their products.

Have a look at the banners on the right side of the page — I know there should be more, but that’s just because you don’t have as much influence in the tech world as a tennis star, but that’s besides the point.

This is actually not a bad phone, and not a bad campaign.

The fact that steve jobs isn’t whoring the product may seem foreign and in fact confusing to your simple mind. But hey what do you expect from silicon valley these days?
