Sure, none of us have the Palm Pre yet – but once you get it, won’t you want to take a ton of screenshots to show off to your friends document the experience?
On the iPhone, taking a screenshot requires no wonky software or hackery – just hold two buttons. I figured a similar function might exist on the Pre, but we had a heck of a time finding anyone who had any idea what we were talking about – until now.
To take a screenshot of the Pre, you’ll hold the Orange, Sym, and P keys. Bam! Instant screenshot, prepped and ready for sending off to Grandma. Because there’s nothing Grandmas love like phone OS screenshots.

Who you talked to? I have some questions as well.
I think it’s awesome that we finally have mobile OS’es we actually want screenshots of. The only time I ever took one in Windows Mobile was for a bug report…
@Phillip, he has talked to someone with early Mojo SDK access, probably, as I doubt Pre prototypes are widely available to everyone’s hands.
Seems a little complicated. Should be just two.
tried hitting other button while holding orange and SYM button
ORANGE + SYM + P = Screenshot
ORANGE + SYM + R = resets device
ill post more soon as my device finishes resetting… :/
ORANGE + SYM + I = gives info and numbers dont knw what they mean though…
Very cool.
Now when I put together how to’s I can actually post screenshots along with them.
This does not work at all for me, takes me to a search screen looking for ‘=” Any updates here or anyone who can do this successfully? Tips?
