You made a pretty good point however many of the features added to the Android are features they were lacking. Features that any phone that comes out now a days already does out of the box. I was looking up iPhone app reviews and Android app reviews to compare the two. One thing that i found is that their are many android to compensate for features that Android phones lack. For example a music player so you can browse your songs and a task manager so that you can close a program.

I was a genius and bricked my iphone 2 days ago and was stuck until i found the website that i linked to my name above, just click on my name to go there. They had me up and running in no time and i now have complete access to their Apple developers account with my own user ID and password. It was worth it, just my 2 cents for anyone who is in the same boat i was.

i was having issues getting on a developers account until i found the website that i linked to my name above, they sent me step by step instructions and had me registered in 5 minutes, i would recommend them to anyone

You know what I don’t need to sit here all night. But that’s more than 2. I’m nost saying I’m an iPhone fanboy. I just came from having a Moto Q9c (WinMo) and a Blackberry Curve so I think I can be pretty objective about it.

Oh come on. The Android 1.5 is not at all a valid comparison – this is a beta update… Meant to fix performance and bugs in the upcoming OS release. you can’t expect many new features. Apple is obviously holding some back for launch but you aren’t going to see many new features every two weeks until June.

I suppose that might be be a valid interpretation if the features in the Android update were fixes. In fact, they are mostly added features. Feature which the iPhone still seems to lack in many cases.

Android 1.5 Fixes: 5
Android 1.5 Added Functionality: 22
Android 1.5 Cosmetic: 11

iPhone 3.0 Fixes: 3? (Obligatory is vague)
iPhone 3.0 Added Functionality: 2
iPhone 3.0 Cosmetic: 1 (Once again, vague)

Even given the vague factor, that’s a much higher feature-set-improvement to fixes ratio in the favor of Android. Factor in a similar ratio in iPhone OS 2.0 and any argument about “many things wrong with it in the first place” loses its traction pretty quickly.

I’m no apple fanboy but it stands to reason that if there are more things broken there are more things to fix.

Of course the iBrick update doesn’t look as flashy as the Android update, there weren’t as many things wrong with it in the first place. :D
