Want something that looks like Motorola’s aborted Sidekick Slide? That runs Android? That has buttons like the RAZR? Well, you’re in luck because Moto is planning to launch the Android-powered Calgary on Verizon.

The QWERTY-slider looks like it has some promise. The styling is cool, the OS is proven, and things can only go up for Motorola. Given their track record, however, expect this thing to catch fire in your pocket or something.

  • Any news as to when or if the Calgary will be released in the UK?

  • May just be me but I really dislike Motorola’s keypad. From this picture, it doesn’t look like they’ve changed it much. It looks nice but, like on the Razor, it’s hard to tell which number or character you’re hitting.

Best pizza I ever had was in Calgary….for serious….it was at a late night place in a club district…it had chicken, onions, various cheeses and chunks of potato. They called it “The Hammer”.

I would like to go back to Calgary, have more of that pizza and take pictures of it with this sweet ass phone.
