Two bits of BlackBerry news/rumor for you to digest. One, it looks like RIM will officially unveil the niagara at its Wireless Enterprise Symposium next week in beautiful Orlando. The niagara, you’ll recall, is supposedly the greatest BlackBerry in the history of the world: a 3G world phone that’ll be available on Verizon Wireless. (Expect it to be available within the month, now that’s it May and all.)
Two, RIM may also debut a VZW flip phone called the Apex. When you think Apex, think Pearl Flip, the reasonably okay phone that’s on T-Mobile.
Again, from what I’ve read, the BlackBerry niagara is pretty much the best BlackBerry ever, and it’ll give VZW users another reason to skip the Storm. Solid network + solid, “real” BlackBerry should = win.

I love soooo much, I bet this is a great phone, however I’m at my wits end with this bias about verizon, this phone is not as good as the bold, vzw or no vzw, there’s no wifi and the keyboard is smaller. It’s so tiring that people rate a phone based on the network, I switched to at&t from verizon because of a total lack of good phones, shady coverage and TERRIBLE customer service, not to mention the most expensive phone plans of all carriers, and I have never looked back, I have better 3g coverage with at&t than I ever did with VZW and my plan is far cheaper.
Seriously??? How could you even attempt to compare the lackluster coverage of ATT to, BY FAR, the best coverage in N. America. I could understand if you were comparing for International travel.. but there is no comparision in N.A.
I need a new Blackberry so bad, my 8830 is sucking it up lately! Been waiting for the Niagara for months now!
Hey Nicholas, how rock-solid is this “released in May” info you posted? Did you hear that from Crackberry or your own source? I’d love to know because I am in dyer need of a phone this month and I would love to get that and not a Curve! Thanks!
