Whhaaa? This must be some sort of pre-release nonsense ’cause we already know that Best Buy will sell the Palm Pre for $199 without a rebate and the off-contract price will be $549. Still, why wouldn’t the correct price be set on the Palm Pre product page from the getgo? More as we get it.

If it’s not a simple clerical error, it figures that Best Buy would try to gouge it’s customers. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to ‘prove’ a price for their Price Match policy. There have been MANY things I’ve had to buy somewhere else because of it; because they WON’T match. I doubt the Pre will be any different.
