First it was AT&T mouthing off about carrying the Palm Pre and now Verizon’s CEO Lowell McAdam is stating that VZW will begin selling the Palm Pre “over the next six months or so…” Also mentioned was the Storm 2 by McAdam, which will also go on sale in the same time frame. Side note: Palm shares went up 11 points while Sprint’s went down 3 points after this announcement.

  • wow this baby will take off big time

  • Good for Palm…no exclusive traps for them.

  • Poor Sprint :*(

  • I am SO TIRED OF VERIZON!!! First of all, I just KNEW they weren’t going to pick up the PRE when the CEO announced it earlier this year. I KNEW that he only said he would so many people wouldn’t jump off Verizon’s network. Who knows, maybe they said that so no one would buy the pre, knowing it was coming to verizon, and then when everyone waited long enough, they came out and said they won’t want it anymore so Palm dies and the blackberry lives.

Now that the blackberry 2 is coming, they think people will want that instead. Well, guess what Verizon? i’ve been waiting a long time for this. You’ve just made my decision much easier. I WILL be leaving your horrible company after many years of annoyance. I am going to Sprint and I WILL save more money on my phone bill.

I think you’re a horrible company for doing to Palm what you did. If you picked up the PRE, that phone WOULD have soared on your network, but instead your greed on the Blackberry will be your downfall. don’t ever think the blackberry will replace the iphone – it’s a dead dream. Your best shot was with Palm. Now you lost it all.

    C-YA Verizon
