It’s not surprising as we’ve seen these sorts of acts in the past, but Verizon is really pushing it by comparing the Pre to the BlackBerry Storm. I’ve had my Pre for just a few short days and I’m already itching to ditch my Curve and skip on over to Sprint for the Pre. Anyway, hit the jump to check out all the Verizon propaganda.

My Storm doesnt have SongID…
They’re scared of the Pre. Look at ‘em… shakin’ in their booties…
Luke:
Check out crackberry.com’s forums. There is tons of information on the storm. SongID doesn’t interest me but I have seen a few different applications talking about song ID.
Thanks! Found it, I appreciate the help! Here is the forum:

Are those cons real? Some of those are pretty big “wtf, really?” cons…
Meh, whatever though I guess. I wouldn’t get a Pre simply because of the network its on, same reason why I haven’t gotten an iPhone. What the hell is with all the cool phones getting placed onto shitty service providers??
I guess I’ll stick with my Touch/Trance combo for now. If only I could figure out how to tether them together… that would freaking rock. haha
What’s hilarious is, Verizon is trying to tell everyone how the Pre can’t measure up – then, in 6+ months, they’re going to try to sell it to us.
I doubt it. In 6+ months there’ll be a whole new “must have” phone out.
But if the Pre ends up sucking major cock, then yea, it’ll be on Verizon’s product list in no time flat. That seems to be how they do things. Does it sucks? Yes? We’ll take it! …at least, thats what you would think looking at their selection.
Verizon did the same thing at the launch of the iPhone.
And it’s incredibly hypocritical for Verizon to criticize anyone for pricing.
Pathetic, really.
I love my storm after unofficial updates and 3rd party applications. I think the pre is likely a great phone. I would never entertain the idea of getting one unless they went to AT&T or Verizon though.
Eric: My first thought! I considered a Storm…until I saw their monthly pricing was the same as AT&T with the iPhone, and the phone itself was the same price too (and with a 2 year contract). No thanks.
My name is Brian, and I just got my Pre on Saturday by a stroke of sheer luck… They “Found” 10 extra units in the back room when everywhere else was sold out.
I LOVE this phone, but I’m getting a little tired of hearing about how much better the iPhone is by Apple fans who haven’t even touched the Pre.
Yes, the iPhone is nice and all that, but come on.. let us enjoy our phones in peace. There’s no need to tell us that our phone sucks when we just laid 3-400 bucks down on the counter for it.
I hang out at http://www.PalmPreForum.org a site made for all Palm Pre owners.
