Great app, I despise having to search for things by using the browser. Sometimes it can be very slow and half of the sites are built for the mobile but do not share the information I need. Taptu is an essential app on my iPhone.

Hmmm, I’m not really liking taptu’s actual functionality. The interface is really nice, no disagreement there, but the search isn’t that great. Am I the only one that thinks this, or are the above posters just in love with the interface?

Search news site in Canada, only got results on news stories, mostly in SI sport. Indexing doesn’t seem to be extensive.

Been using the Taptu Web App for the iPhone for quite a while and I’m loving the native equivalent. It’s totally different user experience only searching and browsing content that is actually optimized for your device of choice.

I also feel the same way about browsing the sites, it’s not the same overall iPhone experience that you expect.

Does anybody have any idea on the price differences these different applications can cost?

I can’t live without the threaded system, so the Mail client is out, Safari Gmail is in. I use the “older version” though since the new one is just too slow.
