Do you get your mitts on your iPhone 3G S yet? No? Don’t worry – neither did we. Neither did most people, really. But somewhere out there, some guy did – and he’s already crackin’ away at helping people make informed decisions one video sample at a time.
We can’t say for absolute certain that this video comes from an iPhone 3G S, but it all seems to fall in place. Widescreen recording? Check. iPhone 3G S box in view? Check. Going through the effort of making a fake box this close to the eleventh hour just for the sake of faking a video sample seems a bit silly, so we’ll give him the benefit of a doubt.
It looks pretty good to us. It’s not going to dethrone our normal video go-tos, but the quality seems quite a bit better than what we’ve seen out of the unofficial, jailbreak-only iPhone apps thus far. Good job, video-sample-shooting action hero.
I hope I’m not the only one who thinks this is fake. That is clearly the first gen iPhone box. The 3G box was shorter than that and the 3GS box is said to be even smaller. Am I the only one seeing this?
That’s a truth box… my 3G box was like that because i bought it on portugal! the only country where iphone 3g box is shorter is in USA because there powercable!
But the new iPhone 3G S the box will really be smaller even in Portugal.

If you look at his other videos, and the other video test he has, you’ll see it’s not widescreen video- I think he cropped it out himself…. which is a shame.
Box looks very fake. My location is fully stocked on 16gb 3GS phones and I can confirm the box is substantially smaller than the 3G.

Hey guys, i can’t say if the video it’s fake or not, but the box can’t be real, apple announced that this new S the the will be small.
And the 3G in US and in Portugal the box it’s the same, not the same in Original iPhone.
But in my opinion the video it’s fake, apart of the box…
