With the exception of the pointless “shake to undo”, “Landscape mode for every app,” and tethering everything listed on here can be done by the Pre. The major difference between the two are the apps. Soon that wont be a major issue when Palm centralizes all the Pre applications in their app catalog. when they finally do that we will be able to look at iPhone app reviews and Pre app reviews for a better comparison.

good summary. my big thing is that AT&T still is such a horrible carrier. the biggest benefit to the release is contacts is much faster. about time.

I was able to get the update to work late last evening. I have to say I am pretty happy so far with what they have done with the OS.

ATT really needs to get the MMS feature working. They charge a fortune for their services and then can’t have a service available when the vendor updates its functionality. What? they didn’t know it was coming?

So you basically just repeated the feature list from Apple’s iPhone page? I would expect something more from TechCrunch than just an echo. Please move on and cover something other than apple, twitter and facebook…maybe even innovative start-ups outside Silicon Valley for a change.

Ok well then, can you tell me how to use the CalDAV to get my google calender? Cause right now im using the neuvasync and its taking up my exchange where I could be getting my work email from. But I tried it and it wont work. How did you get it to work?

Or how about you tell us how to sync our notes on windows? I use only gmail….. Boo :-(

Shake to shuffle when playing songs. It’s default is on so if you go jogging without turning it off, it will sound a tone and change songs at every swing of the hand.

After updating to 3.0 I’ve noticed that the key clicks no longer work while texting and that the lock sound has also disappeared. I’ve gone into settings and turned off these features and then turned them back on with no affect. Also rebooting doesn’t help either.

Yes, it’s not a show stopper, but certainly worth noting.

Shame that YouTube doesn’t allow the ability to add videos to your favourites. If it does then that wasn’t visibly clear when I was viewing clips on the iPhone!

Yes, finally tethering works. Plus it’s free (included in package) here in Finland. So something nice to say about Sonera at least. Then again, all Finnish operators have offered this for every other phone for years.

Oh and am I the first to notice horizontal scrolling is much smoother when entering text in a HTML text area?

Okay, how does this CalDav thing work? I’ve got it enabled in my gCal.. but i have like 4 calendars in there, each for seperate things, bdays, work etc..

Do i need to create a new CalDav account on my iphone for each one?

and secondly, how exactly do i add them, everything i’ve tried hasnt seemed to work.

Any help please?

Actually, I think :hover elements are supported now.

you just have to kind of hold your finger down, and “scroll” onto the element, and the :hover css state is activated. kinda neat actually.
