would really be nice if google put some ad dollars behind their platform. i have the iphone and would love to sport an android but theres no reason for me to switch yet.

By a EditText view being in the app widget, that means the widget was built into the actual Android code. I doubt Google would allow this into master, and if you look, it isn’t. So this is definitely either through an OEM, through a carrier, completely hoaxed, or just a mock up by someone who has no idea what they can and can’t do in an app widget.

If this is really internal to facebook, they are planning on marketing this to OEMs and/or carriers and not directly to consumers.

Pretty pumped about this, I used to cook Hero ROM’s at XDA but have since moved on to cupcake based ones because of, well, speed, performance and reliability. The only thing that brings me back to Hero is that darned social networking integration as I’m a New Media Director out in Michigan and it makes my jobs a lot easier. Finally an answer to my prayers.

It looks pretty much similar than the iPhone application they lately released. Lets see if the features are the same aswell.
