Nokia N900 press shot trickles onto the interwebs

See that image up above? Looks like our mockups from waaaaay back in May were about as spot on as it gets – though the in-the-flesh shots from a few days ago already proved that.

Though there’s not much left to be revealed at this point, the fact that the above promo shot is all wrapped up and being leaked further cements the idea that Nokia will be announcing the N900 at Nokia World in just a little over a week. It’s also the first time we’ve seen the “N900″ text appear on the device, indicating that that’ll be the name it hits the shelves with. Remember folks: this one’s supposed to be heading to T-Mobile USA and be just as much of a phone as it is a fancypants internet tablet, so keep an eye on it.

Any news on UK / Europe release?

After years of non-contract, looks like I’ll be returning to contract, so long as a provider can offer a good data tariff.

Is it only me, but the girl looks bit awkward :D Otherwise a nice design..lets hope the wobbly back lid has been replaced with harders plastics etc.

I think she looks awkward because she is wondering why some guy that’s been following her is taking a picture of her with his phone in a store.

Why didn’t they add a capacitive touchscreen instead of a resistive one?

I hate that! Nokia seems to lower its pace nowadays. It’s kind of an old phone to me, though it looks great and has a great OS but come on! HTC Leo, SonyEricsson Rachael seem better phones than this one.

Possibly because resistive screens are more accurate than capacitive ones and a hell of a lot better for handwriting recognition which is kind of important when you’re top dog in China?

Just a thought.
