There’s a free app called txtAgif that allows you to easily find animated pictures from a big collection of free pictures on http://www.txtagif.com. Once you choose a picture, you just need to tap a button to start a new MMS and then paste the animated GIF into your MMS. You might find this useful if you like to send funny animations to your friends. Search for “txtagif” in App Store. Have fun!

Then don’t go with AT&T. Clerk at the Apple Store the other day told me that they had taken down 60% of their towers in the weeks or in some cases, months preceding the MMS launch. All those dropped calls… yeah.

Hi you all. I just don’t get it. So the Tethering is now disabled and I still don’t get MMS. sinister1 what is that MMS.ifind2.com ? I guess that’s the only reliable one? Nothing is happening on our end here in New York.

I’m a little disappointed in AT&T. I guess I will get that B+ Positive free app now, since I did not get the MMS from AT&T.

For everyone wondering about tethering with the http://help.benm.at/help.php hack: if you are running OS 3.0.1 go to http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=792908 and follow the instructions.

If you are running OS 3.0.1 you can do the carrier update to AT&T 5.5, then MMS and tethering will both work! If you update to OS 3.1 tethering will not work. If you go to http://help.benm.at/help.php it has a video on how to downgrade.

Also be careful the ipcc file will try to save as a zip file. Don’t let it.

Ya whatever att (notice the lower case name)..130am so its 9/freaking/26 now and no update, no nothing. My son in the same house with the same phone gets the “watch for update” text and I the owner of the phone account, Nothing. Thank you a-freaking t&t.

F*(*&()K at&t. They can’t get their SH(*&(*t together, all they can do is charge everyone for every piece of crap. I can totally understand why everyone is pissed.

They charge $5 for 200 txt messages, but for years they cannot give us MMS. How embarrasing. They lied about todays’ date also. I went ahead and purchased the http://MMS.ifind2.com. Thanks Sinister1. That fricking thing WORKS!. wile you are at it, get the tethering, too. The second I’ll have a chance I’m leaving AT&T.

It’s actually working for some people in random regions but there are also those that have nothing. I also have the MMS viewer and MMS sender from ifind2.com and I love them. I updated my new 3GS to 3.1 and the shit still didn’t work and if i didn’t have those to apps I would be shit out of luck and could not send or receive MMS message at all.

Awh, I’m the type of person who hates to say I told you so but I did. This waiting on AT&T on a set date, time and year is almost like waiting on the second coming of Jesus; every body speculates but no one really knows. Come on people you should know by now that AT&T is full of shit and is no better that Virgin or Cricket mobile it just cost more. There is only one way to send and view MMS messages on the i Phone and that’s by downloading these apps from MMS.ifind2.com.

After testing the feature, I am wondering how AT&T is handling the billing when you send am iamge with text. If you notice, after hitting send it splits them into two different chat boxes.

So, does this mean that in essence we are getting marked for two different text messages, once for the text portion and one for the image?

just downgrade from 3.1 to 3.0
have done it on so many 2g,3g iphones and worked just fine
