Looks like there’s a serious outage going on for Sidekick users. Starting in the last few days, data services have been broken off and even address books have been inaccessible. Apparently the problem is with Danger and Microsoft, not with T-Mobile. My G1 is on T-Mo and I’ve had no data troubles — and it’s Microsoft that’s scrambling to fix the issue. Around the clock, even!

Apparently they’ve gotten many “critical applications” back online, which seems to include everything you’d want to use: “address book and calendar, social media applications, IM, web browsing, media player and camera.” What else can a phone do?!

At any rate, they say they’ll have everything back to 100% by Thursday. anybody out there still having issues?

  • That’s sad news. The Sidekick is one awesome phone. Probably one of the coolest phones I’ve ever seen, actually.

  • Tmobiles response and shating ofinfo with customershasbeen pathetic enough to destroy the company. Afterteaching owners of sidekicks that ahard reboot is often the solution to a crash. They tell customers not to do so 5 days into this disaster after thousands of customers have probabely already done so. I smell class action law suit

  • Mine is still not 100%. It’s not accepting my email settings, and I lose full data capabilities for hours at a time. They’ve offered 1 month of free data, but this is my last month, and I’ve already paid my bill.

  • This really sucks. They did offer the 1 mo free data charges, but how long will this mess take? I still can’t access my catalog, my contacts keep erasing, lucky they’re on the sim. My internet is in and out. Im close to wanting to change phones, but at what, full price, I only had this phone 1 mo and 9 days!
