Though we certainly made an effort, we just don’t play well with Windows Mobile 6.5. With that said, we really do (honestly!) hope that Windows Mobile 7 comes and blows our minds.
Though we’re still almost completely in the dark when it comes to WinMo 7 details, WMExperts has managed to shed an inkling of light on the subject. Earlier today, they were leaked an image purportedly portraying what’s to come. In the top row, you’ll see the Windows Mobile 6.5 settings and calendar screens as they are today; in the bottom row are internal mockups of what the same screens should look like in Windows Mobile 7. We’ve gotta say, the fonts and general flow of those lower images look very Palm Pre/webOS-esque – and when it comes to UI/Software stuff, that’s definitely a good thing.

Oh those monochrome sepia screenshots. Not intended to make you think “old fashioned” at all.
Zune Dev team should dump the Z and focus on WinMo.
It’s gonna take that much of a game changer to get anyone excited about WinMo-any version.
Until then I group WinMo with the Winless-Repubs.
Microsoft had better hury with WM7
Google, Apple and Rim have some great OS
I know most people wont go back to WM. Burned to many times.
I use to be a WinMo follower for many, many, many years and a true loyal of WinMo… until 1 month ago. Sadly Microsoft doesn’t take Mobile devices seriously I “think”. WinMo 6.5 is just a super minor enhancement to 6.1 to the point that companies such as HTC have to develop there own interface and ways to make WinMo more up to date with other OS’s such as webOS/Android/iPhone. I would like to see WinMo 7 but for now I have move to an Android device and very happy with the move so far. The only thing I miss from WinMo is the tide Exchange synchronization integration. Android does synchronize with Exchange but there is no way to select specific folders to synchronize or to assign work hours.
M$ is so sad. Thats all I can say.
I have used Windows 7 Beta for a few months and I would have to say that I like it. It is much faster and programs don’t lag even when you running multiple programs at once. There are some neat features introduced into Windows 7 and the overall use is much easier and simpler. Microsoft took Windows 7 seriously and they needed to do that. I have written a detailed experience about my use of Windows 7 and I hope you can find it useful. Please comment and let me know

It is still too early to determine what kind of problems might rise from Windows 7, but overall I think it will be a great operating system.
