Chalk this one up as a rumor, but it’s looking like Droid is going to be an army, rather then a lone warrior. There’s been some rumblings that at least other handset manufacturers are creating their own Droids as well.
Here’s the lowdown.
The Motorola Sholes will most likely be called the Droid
HTC’s Desire will be called the “Droid Eris”.
The Droid Eris will be released on November 6th, along with the Sholes. We’re probably not going to see the Eris until the 6th, despite of Verizon’s October 28th event.
So there you go. Total BS? Only time will tell.

There will be many phones with the Android OS and the Droid will have way more Apps in it’s 1st year then the IPhone had in it’s first year. The Android OS will cruise past Apple in the # of apps for this phone compared to the IPhone.
Your first sentence is like comparing Apples to small rocks. Android OS has already been out for a year as of this month.
The second sentence won’t happen because of 1) fragmentation 2) iPhone users actually pay for apps, thus attracting developers.
The second half of your second sentence doesn’t make sense.
iPhone users actually pay for apps, whereas Android users don’t?
You can’t get your hands on a Droid? Mike is like Android’s biggest fan. I’ve had my G1 for a year, you can bet I’ll be getting a Droid as soon as I can.
So. Is it possible that there is an Android in the near future that will have a processor in excess of 800MHZ?????
Because the 550MHZ processor won’t run the ONE app that anyone should give damn about. The iTouch/iPhone emulator.
watch all the commercials of DROID DOES campaign along with anti dorid videos from loyal iPhone users…
