Ack! Talk about bad timing. T-Mobile is just barely off the grill for their guilt-by-association connection with the Great Danger/Sidekick outage of 2009, and now they’re right back in the network-outage spotlight.
This time around, it appears that it’s their entire network – or at least, a big ol’ chunk of it – that has gone down. Voice and data are both coming up empty, Twitter is on fire with complaints, and T-Mobile has confirmed that they’re aware of the issues and have got engineers cracking away as we speak.
Tmo’s Statement on the matter:
All – We’re aware of the current service disruption. Our rapid response teams have been mobilized to restore service as quickly as possible. We will provide further updates as more information is available.
Rapid response team, eh? I’m imagining a band of men wearing pink berets, repelling onto cell towers out of a helicopter piloted by Catherine Zeta Jones.

Data and Voice still down on my G1 in Indianapolis
Voice and SMS down on my Nokia in Akron.
I see that I’m not the only one who is having problems. This is the third time since October 14 that T-Mobile has had Network problems.
My phone can’t receive calls and it keeps saying data error enter code.
DATA is back up. Voice is back up. No SMS or MMS. Reporting from PA

Got temporary connectivity at Tmobile store in Irving off 635 and Macarthur.
Chicago has been intermittent at best since about 4:30 PM. I’ve had about 3 hours of no signal at all from at least 5 cell sites/regions on the NW side. T Mobile customers we work with in Boston and surrounding states are down as well. It has to be a major backbone or router level event for this length.
Data, SMS/MMS, and Phone, all down in St. Louis, MO.

My wife’s T-Mo with a Seattle area code is down, voice, data and SMS. Mine, with an 805 area code (Southern CA) is up, at least for voice. Weird.

They are going to ask that you pay your bill on time.
Need make sure there service is doing well at alltimes. Make sure customer will not leave because of this situation.
tmobile, detroit michigan. all my services have been out since 6pm thats 6 hours as of now. who knows how long this will last. im on my 3rd g1, and this outage has put me over the edge, im done
Mid-Arizona here: I’ve got emails coming through on my blackberry, but only via WiFi. Color me pissed off.
Can’t open up inbox to check messages, bars are down here in Fort Worth, TX have had propblems trying to make calls all day. Is the Network overloaded since they are now offering unlimited calling?

In Denver my services went down at 3 on my mytouch the only thing working is data no sms or voice

Tmobile is lying. There is NO WAY only 5% of their clients were affected. They are covering something up. They fixed it, and then they have the gall to tell us they still don’t know what happened. Then how did you fix it? Tmobile is so lying.
