You’re stuck in quite the conundrum. You want the chic elegance of the iPhone – but you want unbridled flexibility that comes with the Android platform. Whatever are you supposed to do?
If you’re able to read Chinese and are absolutely insane, there’s a solution: the APhone A6. Straight out of a Chinese handset cloning workshop, the APhone A6 is built to walk the walk of Apple’s finest, but talk the talk of Google’s. Sure, the hardware looks a wee bit chunky around the edges – but it does rock a 3.5″ multi-touch display, Bluetooth, WiFi, and an ultra funky iPhone interface overhaul. Sure, it’s unlikely to ever reach US soil. Sure, it’ll probably only work for a month. It’s Android.. on an iPhone. Sort of.

Whoa, that’s cool. If this came to america, i’d drop all my cellphones just to buy this. Psted to my blog:

Is it from the same Shenzhen manufacturers who brought us the HiPhone? Or is it from the company that produces the Blockberry?
What the heck is it with the Chinese ripping everything off? Seriously, it’s like EVERYTHING! Even the RUSSIANS won’t sell them weapons technology anymore, cuz the Chinese just buy a few and then rip ‘em off and copy them. When the Russians don’t sell you weapons, that’s saying something. Too bad not a lot of high quality stuff comes out of China, or we could rip them off.
Hahahaha! You said it, man.
U r upset. Well deal with it, like or not
Well every one out sources every thing to them so why on make something ‘better’ (is it really better because it cost less? I would say no but I like to keep my electronic more that 90 days and I still had an analog phone in 2004). But local if you want to change things or as they say ‘deal with it’
Well I think in all fairness… Or at least some fairness to the Chinese a lot of the really cool phones we get to play with and use, they may not eer see. Or see a stripped down version many manyhears after it’s old news here already. I think these knockoff clone makers tap into that market, giving users cool looking and sometimes very functional clines that look like the newest and hottest gadget. Just my take on it of course … And I don’t mean to imply that it’s all that noble or anything.
Ok. Just want to apologize for the typos. Writing it on my hiphone and the touch screen keyboard isn’t so good. :)
seriously though, sorry for the typos.
If the phone runs Android, shouldn’t you be able to change the language on it pretty easily? So you need enough Chinese language ability or familiarity with Android menus to change the language to your choice, but then you should be good, right?
The OS looks sort of like OMS for Ophone, but not quite.
Sure, I told you last week (though you deleted my comment about ADC2) .
This is really the handset we’ve been waiting for here in Africa.
We didn’t delete the comment. At least, not as far as I know, and I’m generally the only person moderating those.
It most likely just got caught in our spam filter. We get a few thousand spam comments per day, and one or two of those is bound to be a false positive.
Thanks,
I got it back.
We need an Android jailbreak.
Sometimes I just think they get a hold of all these left over spare surplus junk and say “Hey, what can we make from all this spare surplus junk?”
Also, I noticed the touch screen wouldn’t respond well when he made a gesture and his talons got in the way. With that and stating it being multi touch, I’m assuming it’s capacitive.
The scary part of the video, was hearing his claws tap and scratch across the glass.
Not impresed.. what if its iphone look like, it seems to have slow startup, Nokia N97 or N900 will beat this phone, only thing that would make people buy is cheap that iphone and N97 or N900 would come too expensive..
Looks like the touchscreen doesn’t work well at ALL. He keeps on pressing it or trying to swipe and it never registers his moves. Either that or it’s ignoring him.
looks like Apple, smells like Android, tastes like Nokia :)
Nice hardware although it took ages to boot up let me keep it short the software runs like it SUCKS snails.
