There seems to be an unspoken style guideline amongst spy shot shooters: find the worst lighting possible, ditch the flash, and down 3-4 cups of coffee before snapping away. Unfortunately, the spy behind this shot of the Android-powered Motorola Motus played by all the rules.
According to the ol’ Rumor Mill, the Motus will tout a 3.1″ 480×320 touchscreen, 802.11b/g WiFi, and a 5 megapixel AF when it launches in Q1 of 2010. Those specs (mainly the screen) put it somewhere below the Droid on the hardware totem pole, but man – look how huge that keyboard is. That thing’s either going to be incredibly amazing, or absolutely unusable.

It’s an iPhone with a keyboard!
How are the screen and key board connected and is it sturdy?
That thing looks sexy. Keyboard almost looks like its just a whole separate screen dedicated to touch-buttons.
Who knows?
Personally I think Moto should really simplify things down. They should really focus all of their efforts into making one super kick ass iphone-killing beast of a phone that sells for a low, low price. That would be awesome.
Man, this is gonna be really good or uber bad…
Well, I guess there are two types of population .. one with smartphones and the other like me carrying regular razor phones .. and I am completely disconnected from the web and no one really bothers about this set of people. The irony is the majority of the population carry regular phones and are there any solutions for them to access the web apart from the useless browsers and expensive data plans?
You can check out http://www.smsaway.com. They have apps for regular phones .. in fact, I use it to access my email over SMS and it works flawlessly.
does this put the blackberry to rest?
Launches in Q1 2010 and is powered by the cutting edge Qualcomm 720x processor from 2004.
