The Sirius XM application for BlackBerry is now available. It runs on the Storm/Storm 2, Curve (8500, 8900), Bold (9000, 9700), and Tour (9600).
The application requires a Sirius XM subscription plus the additional online streaming feature, which costs $3 per month.
There’s something like 120 channels available, chief among them, in my opinion, The Virus, XM channel 202/Sirius 197. I sit here all day listening to the damn channel, and I couldn’t be happier.
Not available via the application: Howard Stern, which you can blame on contractual issues. Big deal: Opie and Anthony and Ron and Fez are better anyway!
Need 202 on Android please!

Haven’t they had an app that handled XM on the Blackberry before? For possibly even more models of Blackberry? I’m stuck with the stupid flip Blackberry and none of the XM/SiriusXM apps apparently work for it, which is retarded since there are plenty of streaming audio apps that work just fine for it.
The app was a crappy pay app that cost on top of your monthy subscription. I tried the demo and it never worked right.

I’m not sure what Sirius is paying him for, as he

Way too over paid, for what they pay him for.
I’ve been force to drive my other vehicle that
has Sirius instead of XM, and I can honestly
say, I NEVER have tuned in either of his channels
on my way to work. I’ve sat through Rush’s 2112 overture on a few mornings and even tuned in
terrestrial radio and listened to Bob&Tom,
for lack of anything else on the radio.
They are not plugs!!!!

If you like Sirius XM then see their “rags to riches” story on DVD. The movie is called “Stock Shock” and it goes over the history, development, and near-death experience of the stock. I did not know the inventor of sirius xm was a woman!–well she is now, at least. DVD is cheaper at http://www.stockshockmovie.com, but the DVD is pretty much everywhere for sale.
